  13. A recent investigation by a crack team
  14. of   Beyond   Sanit-E   reporters  has
  15. revealed   damaging   and   disturbing
  16. information   regarding  the  lack  of
  17. beautiful people in Leicester.
  18.  
  19. Although  only  two years ago the city
  20. possessed   only  a  25%  ugly  person
  21. ratio,  during the last 12 months this
  22. has   risen   to   a  staggering  54%.
  23. Good-looking   people  had  apparently
  24. disappeared   without  a  trace.   But
  25. thanks  to  Beyond Sanit-E, it can now
  26. be  revealed  to  the  public that the
  27. increase  in  ugliness  is  due  to  a
  28. sinister       plot       by       the
  29. aesthetically-challenged  City Council
  30. of treachery, abduction and brutality.

  32. Posing  as Germans, two Beyond Sanit-E
  33. reporters  infiltrated the Council and
  34. began  to  ask questions.  Although at
  35. first  these  enquiries  were met with
  36. blank  stares,  it was not long before
  37. people  began to come forward and tell
  38. of   the   terrifying   fate   of  the
  39. Leicester beauties.

  41. Caught   by  video  tape,  one  senior
  42. member of the Council admits:

  44. "It  started  off  innocently  enough.
  45. The   mayor   was   dining  with  Miss
  46. Leicester 1995 when she casually noted
  47. how  ugly  the Council was.  Realising
  48. how  an  ugly  face could detract from
  49. ]5the  council's public image, the Mayor
  50. instigated   a  policy  of  placing  a
  51. curfew upon all non-ugly personnel, so
  52. that,  compared  with  the  very  ugly
  53. people  left,  the  Council would seem
  54. positively gorgeous."

  56. But,  as our undercover reporters soon
  57. discovered,   the  plot  did  not  end
  58. there.   Pretty people refused to have
  59. their  right  of movement removed from
  60. them, and began to disobey the curfew.
  61. Realising  that  his  first  plan  had
  62. failed,    the   Mayor   ordered   all
  63. attractive  people  be  rounded up and
  64. detained by local police.  But without
  65. any charges, they could not be held in
  66. police  cells  for long at all.  Faced
  67. with  this  problem, and realising the
  68. situation  was rapidly spinning out of
  69. his  control,  the  Mayor  decided  to
  70. forcibly  hold  the pretty people in a
  71. number  of  old  car  factories in the
  72. outskirts of the city.

  92. final  order.   He  called me over and
  93. said  "Mr  Smith,  Bill, we have to do
  94. something.   More people are coming in
  95. every   day,  and  the  factories  are
  96. crammed already.  And besides, because
  97. ]5of  the  conditions,  cholera is rife,
  98. and  I fear an epidemic".  I asked him
  99. what   he   suggested   we  do.   "The
  100. abbatoir  at  Beaumont  Lees  is empty
  101. most   nights.   Under  the  cover  of
  102. darkness,  we  can  take  those  pesky
  103. attractive  people  in by the bus load
  104. and deal with them once and for all" I
  105. tried   to   protest,  but  there  was
  106. nothing I could do."

  108. Racing  to  the  scene,  our reporters
  109. found  they  were  too late.  All that
  110. remained  of the pretty prisoners were
  111. some  bones marked for chicken food by
  112. mistake.

  114. The  Mayor of Leicester was last night
  115. missing from his home, and police fear
  116. he may have left the country to escape
  117. the justice that must surely await him
  118. for his cruel acts.
